From the First Yes to a Lifetime of Giving The Story of a Joy That Only Grows Deeper With Every Passing Year

From the First Yes to a Lifetime of Giving The Story of a Joy That Only Grows Deeper With Every Passing Year

There is a happiness that the world cannot give and cannot take away. It is found in the heart of a man who heard a whisper from heaven, answered it with his whole life, and has never stopped answering it since. This is the story of that joy — and the sacred journey that made it possible

A Voice Heard, A Heart Surrendered

Before the vestments, before the altar, before the first blessing ever given — there was a moment. A quiet, unmistakable stirring that would not go away. Saying yes to that moment is where every priestly story begins, and it is the most courageous thing a man can do.

Shaped in Silence, Forged in Faith

The seminary is where a yes becomes a conviction. Through years of prayer, study, sacrifice, and surrender, God takes a willing man and fashions him into something greater than himself — a servant configured to the heart of Christ, ready to be broken open for others.

Every Morning, the Same Beautiful Yes

Ordination is not the end of the journey — it is the beginning of a thousand daily renewals. Each Mass offered, each soul accompanied, each cross quietly carried is its own act of recommitment. The joy of the priesthood is not found once. It is chosen, again and again, every single day.

Celebrating a life truly given to God.

Two sacred bonds, one holy life.

With God — hidden in the sacred

Every priest lives first in the secret place — the altar, the breviary, the silence before dawn. Here he is not a public man but a son before his Father. This bond is the root of everything.

With his people — present in the ordinary

From that hidden place he goes out — into homes, hospitals, confessionals, and gravesides. He carries God to people who are searching, suffering, and celebrating.

A prayer that never stops.

The Liturgy of the Hours anchors his days to God, from the first light of morning to the quiet of night.

Icon

Hands that bless and heal.

Through the sacraments, ordinary moments become encounters with the living God — for both priest and people.

He shows up. He stays.

No call too late, no need too small. The priest is there — faithful, steady, and marked by love.

“Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you” (John 21:17)

Fifteen years have passed. Come help us give thanks.

Fr. Valentine Yuven has walked fifteen years in faithful service — at the altar, in the confessional, beside the sick, and among the searching. Before a new chapter begins, we invite you to be part of this sacred moment of gratitude.
